This is the most commonly used type of cylinder liner across the current industry and is great for use under pressure and high temperatures. Dry liner composition: Because we need it to perform effectively under high temperature we produce this with Cast iron and Ceramic Nickel pounds which gives it several features in comparison to Wet liners. Advantages of using a dry cylinder? Replacement is easy, Dry Cylinder is very compatible with almost all engines, no exposure to water jacket. Thinner than its counterpart Wet liners, Dry liners are not in direct contact with the coolant however acts to protect Piston form wear and tear as well as any impurities.Some things to note: Cylinder block in which it is usually fitted is difficult to manufacture and in some cases Heat dissipation is not quite efficient.
